120 days after his appointment as Minister of MOMRA ... "Al-Qasabi" is racing time with "Fawry Plus"
The process of reviewing several government agencies to meet the necessary conditions and getting approval for issuing a building permit has become part of the past, after the approval of the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Chairman of Improvement of Business Environment Committee ,Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, for “Fawry Plus” initiative which is related to issuing building permits of commercial establishments electronically and immediately from engineering offices ,which are associated with more than 9 related authorities in all activities, after procedures of this license takes up to a year previously.
This achievement which will shorten time on commercial establishments and private sector, comes after only 120 days after assignment from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Minister Majid Al-Qasabi to run the Ministry of Municipalities and Rural Affaires on December 27, 2018, where His Highness approved a series of meetings carried out by the National Committee for Investment Licenses, in attendance of many service parties, in order to facilitate and unify required procedures for control and licenses, which have been formed from many relative authorities, which are: Riyadh Municipality –Head of Committee- , Ministry of Health, Civil Defense, Ministry of Education, Building Development Company, Saudi Commission for Tourism and Monuments, Standards and Metrology Authority, Saudi Authority for Engineers, and Saudi Building Code.
The purpose of “Fawry Plus” initiative is to improve and shorten procedures for obtaining building permits and approving plans, as well as involving engineering offices in the process of issuing building permits in accordance with a binding and legal mechanism, as well as standardizing requirements, conditions and credits of all parties participating in the initiative under the umbrella of Saudi building Code.
In the first phase, Riyadh Municipality was the first party to issue the immediate license, while the next stages will include the rest of the Kingdom’s regions.
