In the presence of Eng. Ibrahim Al-Sultan, Mayor of Riyadh Region, Eng. Abdullah Al-Omran, President of Riyadh Municipal Council, and members of Municipal Council, it has been launched "Balady Al-Riyadh" Mobile App., which aims to submit complaints and proposals and automatically link them with Emergency Center (940), to improve communication between citizens and members of Municipal Council.
The application also aims to provide the ability to query and check the status of complaint by App. users, as well as it contributes to develop mechanism for determining and scheduling meetings of different Riyadh Municipal Council committees.
The ceremony started with a speech of Mayor of Riyadh Region, in which His Excellency welcomed members of Municipal Council, praising inauguration of "Balady Al-Riyadh", which contributes in activating services provided by Riyadh Municipality, and achieving the ongoing partnership with Municipal Council, mentioning that these outputs come to serve citizen as a top priority.
For his part, President of Riyadh Municipal Council thanked Mayor of Riyadh, pointing out that "Balady Al-Riyadh" has been developed by IT & E-Services department in Riyadh Municipality, and also he thanked Abdulrahman Al-Asaker, member of Municipal Council as owner of idea, as well as team work which includes Khalid Al-Nafeesah, Deputy Secretary of Municipal Council in Riyadh, and Eng. Hisham Ibrahim, Technical Support Officer in Municipal Council for preparing the database of application before handing over to Riyadh Municipality.
At the end of the ceremony, the application has been officially launched, and Riyadh Municipal Council has presented an appreciation trophy to Eng. Awad Al-Otaibi, Director General of Information Technology and E-Services in Riyadh Municipality, for cooperation, supervision and technical support services provided through Department in implementation.
