Riyadh Municipality has prepared a new developed location for discarded vehicles detention on a total area of 480,000 m2, in Al-Nadheem district – In east of Riyadh-,which has been provided with security offices and guards, as part of the campaign, which came under the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region and follow-up of His Excellency Engr. Ibrahim Al-Sultan, Mayor of Riyadh Region for the purpose of removing all neglected and discarded accident vehicles in Riyadh.
Engr. Nawaf Al-Odaiany, Director General of the Directorate General of Cleanliness in Riyadh Municipality noted that Riyadh Municipality has embarked in applying the approved plan of removing discarded and crashed vehicles campaign, which are left behind by their owners in roads, streets, squares , next to workshops, petrol stations, exhibitions, and inside neighborhoods in cooperation with the Traffic Department.
Engr. Nawaf Al-Odaiany said that the new dedicated location for discarded vehicles dtention is designed and implemented by the General Directorate of Operation and Maintenance in Riyadh Municipality in modern and advanced way, in terms of divisions and vehicles information, and each parking division has a number for quick access to the vehicle, pointing out that the new location can accommodate up to 8,500 vehicles, and it has been dedicated working hours from 8.00 AM to 2.00 PM for vehicles delivery to their owners, after the termination of the delivery procedures of Public Administration of Cleanliness.
Director General of the General Administration of Cleanliness, said that it has been raised more than 300 vehicles till now, as well as large number of vehicle owners have been responded and removed their vehicles from its locations, and work is continuing to deal with the rest according to the announced mechanism , calling everyone who has discarded or crashed vehicle to review the General Administration of Cleanliness to make sure of its presence in Seizing Parking and finish its delivery procedures, saying we hope everyone to cooperate and contribute to the removal of any distortion, and maintain the cleanliness of the capital Riyadh.
