The number of building permits issued by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (MOMRA), since the beginning of this year, until the end of the last July, has reached 30,000 licenses.
Licenses included building, construction, fencing, addition, restoration, or kiosk and ATM licensing.
This comes at a time the number of contractors classified by regions are 3196 contractors, where Riyadh Region has topped by 1434 contractors, followed by Makkah Al Mokarama region with 547 contractors.
In last February, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (MOMRA) inaugurated the new procedures for building permits for warehouses and commercial facilities under the supervision of the ministry.
These procedures are based on the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to create a safe and stimulating investment environment, and provide the necessary guarantees to safeguard the rights of the Kingdom to the first place in the Global Competitiveness Index and Business Exercises Index. The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs seeks to improve its services and facilitate procedures on beneficiary citizens through electronic integration with various government agencies to improve the ranking of the Kingdom according to investment and business environment indicators in Business Exercises report prepared by the World Bank Group.
