2025-06-19His Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Riyadh Region, has directed that one of Riyadh’s parks be named after the late Engineer Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Nuaim, in honor of his contributions during his tenure as Mayor of the capital and in recognition of his dedicated service.
This naming reflects the Prince’s appreciation and acknowledgment of Al-Nuaim’s – may he rest in peace – significant achievements, as he played a pivotal role in advancing the urban landscape of Riyadh. He contributed to the implementation of various projects and initiatives that improved the quality of infrastructure and gave the capital a modern urban character during his service as Mayor from 1396 H (1976 G) to 1411 H (1991 G).
The initiative also aims to integrate the symbolic value of the former Mayor’s legacy into a public space that serves the community, adding a human and urban dimension that enriches the city’s institutional memory by bearing the name of a figure who contributed to Riyadh’s development and progress.
