2025-10-30The Ezwah Riyadh Forum, organized by the Riyadh Municipality over the past two days under the patronage of His Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Mayor of Riyadh, witnessed the signing of 30 agreements aimed at strengthening developmental partnerships with various sectors and empowering community work at the neighborhood level. These efforts align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to improve quality of life and enhance community participation.
These agreements come as part of the municipality’s ongoing initiatives to reinforce community partnerships and enable diverse sectors to contribute to improving quality of life in the capital. They embody the principle of sustainable participatory development, fostering a sense of belonging and cooperation in city building.
The agreements covered multiple areas — including community, environmental, and urban development, as well as infrastructure with the participation of public, private, and non-profit entities, reflecting the broad scope of partnerships and joint efforts to serve the residents of Riyadh and its governorates.
Among the agreements signed:
• A partnership with Sakhaa Program to create shared development opportunities and empower the non-profit sector for lasting impact.
• An agreement with Alfanar Company to develop a public park (2,188 m²) in Al-Nafl district.
• Another with Naif Al-Rajhi Investment Company to develop a 5,517 m² public park in Al-Malqa district.
• A contract with Yazeed Al-Adwani Contracting Establishment to build a mosque and cemetery in Al-Dawadmi (254,500 m²).
• And an agreement with the benefactor Lulwa Saud Al-Dawood – may God have mercy on her – to build an integrated park and prayer area in Hawtat Bani Tamim.
The municipality also signed cooperation agreements with the Council of Civil Society Associations and several Community Development Associations in Riyadh neighborhoods including Al-Falah, Al-Shumaisi, Al-Salam, Al-Mahdiyah, Al-Izdihar, Al-Jazeera, Al-Raedah, Al-Maathar, Al-Hamra, Qurtubah, Al-Rayan, Al-Nahdah, King Fahd District, Al-Murooj, Al-Taawun, and Al-Musaif to support and empower community initiatives and activate the associations’ role in enhancing neighborhood quality of life.
In parallel, nine additional strategic agreements were concluded, notably:
• With Tawuniya Insurance Company to construct and operate a pedestrian bridge linking Al-Rabi and Al-Sahafa districts, as part of a community initiative to improve public facilities and promote quality of life.
• With the Saudi Table Tennis Federation to provide sports tables in public facilities to encourage physical activity.
• With Himmah Watan General Contracting Foundation to build a prayer area inside Al-Andalus (Nakheel) Park in Al-Kharj.
• And with Bana Al-Bunn Café Foundation to build a prayer area in Al-Salam Park in Al-Dawadmi.
Further agreements included:
• With Imdad Al-Ittihad Contracting Establishment to design and construct an artistic landmark at the entrance of Al-Majma’ah Governorate.
• With Hamad Mohammed Al-Drees & Partners Holding Company for soil testing at the industrial estate in Al-Majma’ah.
• With Madar Development Company to plant trees along the Huraymila Road in support of environmental sustainability.
• And with Salem Hamad Al-Dosari Establishment to build a prayer area in Al-Aflaj Municipality Park.
Riyadh Municipality also entered into a cooperation agreement with Wasem Environment, establishing a shaded greenhouse at the municipality’s nursery in Al-Rimal for two years to produce 20,000 native seedlings, conduct awareness and volunteer programs, and support city wide greening initiatives all contributing to environmental sustainability and enhancing the urban landscape.
Additionally, several agreements were signed with Community Development Associations across Riyadh neighborhoods, including Al-Falah, Al-Shumaisi, Al-Salam, Al-Mahdiyah, Al-Izdihar, Al-Jazeera, Al-Maathar, Al-Hamra, Qurtubah, Al-Rayan, Al-Nahdah, and King Fahd District aiming to empower these associations and activate their participation in municipal work, fostering synergy between governmental and community efforts to improve residential life.
The agreements also included cooperation with Saleh Abdulmohsen Abdullah Al-Awwad Endowment Foundation to build Sunday and Friday markets in Jalajil Governorate as part of a community initiative to enhance municipal services, and an agreement with Al-Bir Charity Association in Hawtat Bani Tamim to implement a water-supply project, reinforcing the role of the non-profit sector in delivering service and development initiatives to the local community.
