Riyadh Region Municipality will host the 61st World Council of Urban and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) in the capital Riyadh tomorrow, in partnership with the International Society of City and Regional Planners. The event will take place from 1 to 4 December 2025 under the theme: “Cities and Regions in Motion: Planning Pathways Toward Resilience and Quality of Life.”

The MasterClass on Artificial Intelligence, organized by the Riyadh Municipality in partnership with the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP), was launched today in the Saudi capital as part of the preparatory activities for the 61st ISOCARP World Planning Congress, which the city will host in early December 2025.

“Riyadh Basta” event, organized by Riyadh Municipality, returns next Friday across four locations in the city. The initiative aims to provide an organized space for entrepreneurs, small and medium businesses, and productive families to showcase their products to the public, while fostering community engagement in a well-prepared urban environment that will welcome visitors for 12 consecutive weeks.

Riyadh Municipality, represented by the Western Sector of the city, held the first community hall meeting at the My City Office in the Dhaharat Laban neighborhood, with the participation of residents and development partners. The meeting was attended by the CEO of the sector, Eng. Abdullah Al-Madhi, the Deputy CEO, Eng. Khalaf Al-Dalabahi, along with several sector leaders.

Riyadh Municipality participated in the Smart City Expo World Congress held in Barcelona from 4–6 November 2025, through its involvement in the Arab–European City Dialogue (AECD) session, presented under the Governance and Economy track on the People First stage. The session received strong engagement from participating entities and professionals interested in the future of cities.

Riyadh Municipality has partially opened the project of an underpass and a loop bridge on Dairab Road at its intersection with Nafud Road. The project also includes the development of the northern section of Nafud Road and the improvement of the entrance intersection to King Salman Air Base to enable free-flow access part of ongoing efforts to enhance traffic movement and improve safety at one of the key gateways in the southwest of the city.
