Removing 7.4 million cubic meters of demolition and construction waste from 348 locations in Riyadh
Riyadh Municipality announced that it has raised 7.4 million cubic meters of demolition and construction waste from 348 sites inside Riyadh city during the past five months, as part of its daily efforts to improve the urban landscape and eliminate all aspects of visual pollution within framework of municipal transformation programs, which come from objectives of Kingdom’s vision.
Riyadh Municipality has launched four specialized projects to remove the waste of demolition and construction from undeveloped land covering the whole city, where the first project, which includes Naseem, Sulai, Aziziya, Malaz, Batha and Al-Haier sub-municipalities has completed 91% of the total determined locations of waste removal. The completion of the second project, which includes Al-Mather and Al-Shamal sub-municipalities, is 94%. The third project covering Al-Rawdah and Al-Olaya sub-municipalities was 95.4%. The fourth project, which includes Nimar, Al-Shifa, Al-Uraijaa and Al-Shemasi sub-municipalities, has completed 92.9%.
Riyadh Municipality confirmed its continued efforts of removing demolition and construction waste and other visual pollution until cleaning the entire city from pollution aspects, appreciating the cooperation of residents and visitors in preserving the beauty of Riyadh City and their commitment by regulations and rules to improve the quality of life in Riyadh city.
