Riyadh Municipality adorns squares and roads with more than 5 million flowers
Riyadh Municipality has surrounded streets, roads and squares of the capital with more than 5 million flowers of various types, shapes and colors, as part of a project of beautifying squares, roads and streets of the capital, to improve the environment and enhance the visual dimension.
Eng. Ibrahim Al-Huwaimel, Director General of Gardens and Parks in Riyadh Municipality, said that flowers that come within the winter season are characterized by distinctive creative designs, adding more beauty to these squares.
He added that Afforestation and Landscaping teams members in Riyadh Municipality have contributed to create a beautiful picture through planting flowers in squares, roads and main streets in all neighborhoods of Riyadh city, where the selection of shapes and colors that contribute to the rest of the eye when walking on the road, especially with mixing red, yellow, violet or pink colors with green color.
It is worth mentioning that these flowers have been planted in Riyadh Municipality’s nurseries, where they were planted as seeds and at a low cost, then transported and cultivated in streets, intersections and squares.
