MOMRA updates procedures of 103 regulations and requirements of building permits
The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs started with the participation of 32 entities in updating and facilitating procedures and requirements of building permits for houses and government and commercial establishments under supervision and follow up of H.E. Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs in charge ,Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qassabi.
The first preparatory meeting for the project of updating building regulations and conditions held yesterday with attendance of His Excellency Assistant Minister for Planning and Development Dr. Ghanem bin Humaidi Al-Mohammadi, the Undersecretaries of the Ministry and officials of participating government agencies.
For his part, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Jammaz ,MOMRA Undersecretary for Technical Affairs said that meeting which included 32 governmental and private parties and 17 municipalities, has concluded formation of executive technical teams to review and update publications, and schedule periodic meetings with all partners to complete the project as planned, and within the completion schedule of the entire project, which has been compressed to 11 months, and expedite completion of regulations and technical requirements by priority within 3 months.
Dr. Al-Jammaz added that the project seeks to update 103 regulations, requirements, guide, model, standard and application for all building activities such as schools, hospitals, commercial and governmental establishments.
He stressed that the project will be a quantum leap to achieve the vision of the Kingdom 2030, through raising investment opportunities, and adjusting the urban development, and providing requirements of all relevant authorities in a single publication issued by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs.
