The "One-Third of the Sacrifice" initiative, launched by the Riyadh Municipality, recorded a 33% increase in the number of beneficiaries this year, reaching 140,798 beneficiaries compared to 105,536 in 1445 H. The amount of donated meat also rose to 159,825 kilograms, up from 111,138 kilograms last year reflecting growth in the initiative, increased donations, and an expanded community impact.

This year, 100,932 donors participated in the initiative, and the number of volunteers reached 711, compared to 463 last year, marking a 53% increase. A total of 62 nonprofit organizations took part in the distribution process, up from 51 organizations last year , an increase of 21% , indicating the strengthening of community partnerships.

The number of approved distribution sites increased to 47 locations, compared to 41 previously, contributing to improved accessibility for beneficiaries. The initiative has shown significant progress since 1444 H, when there were only 1,546 donors and 8,076 beneficiaries. In 1445 H, the number of donors rose to 71,018, reflecting the scale of the initiative’s expansion over three years.

This initiative aligns with the Riyadh Municipality's strategy to enhance strategic partnerships with governmental and nonprofit sectors, expand the impact of sustainable community initiatives, support organized charitable work, improve quality of life, and contribute to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
