2025-09-03Municipalities of the Riyadh Region, under Riyadh Municipality, carried out extensive field works during August 2025, including maintenance, environmental improvements, and remedial works, as part of their efforts to enhance infrastructure efficiency and raise the level of municipal services in the region’s cities and governorates.
Field teams repaired road potholes covering an area of 10,514 square meters, removed 2,025 barriers, maintained 13,968 lighting poles, and addressed 1,653 public health violations. Works also included the maintenance of interlock paving covering 42,335 square meters, excavation and backfilling over 67,165 square meters, and the handling of 14,172 reports received through the 940 Call Center.
Additionally, the municipalities conducted 15,794 compliance inspection tours and 3,208 pest-control campaigns, in addition to removing 48,329 tons of waste, repairing sidewalks covering 68,078 square meters, and clearing 14 tons of debris. Works further extended to pruning 44,621 trees and maintaining irrigation networks across 21,715 square meters.
These efforts embody Riyadh Municipality’s commitment to delivering high-efficiency municipal services, achieving sustainable urban development in line with the aspirations of residents, and contributing to an improved quality of life under the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, thereby fulfilling its mission to build a vibrant society within a prosperous and sustainable city.
