iyadh Municipality, represented by the Tumair Municipality, has signed a community agreement to rehabilitate the Hilal observatory in the city of Tumair. This initiative falls within the framework of supporting community partnership to develop and sustain public facilities.

The initiative represents a developmental model that relies on the contribution of the local community to provide a well-equipped environment for moon sighting, serving relevant authorities and contributing to the site's tourism and educational value. It also aims to raise awareness about the importance of moon sighting and its role in serving society and promoting astronomical knowledge.

The agreement is part of the Municipality’s broader efforts to promote active community participation. It involves businessman Ibrahim Al-Sultan, one of the region’s prominent figures, and offers residents the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that benefit the population and support balanced development across the cities and towns of the region.
