2025-10-13The municipalities of the Riyadh Region, under the Riyadh Municipality, carried out extensive field operations during October 2025 that included maintenance of streets, sidewalks, lighting, parks, sanitation, and compliance activities. These efforts come as part of the continuous initiatives to enhance infrastructure efficiency and improve the quality of municipal services in cities and governorates across the region.
Field teams repaired more than 17,098 square meters of street potholes, removed 2,327 barriers, and maintained 10,493 lighting poles in various locations. In addition, they completed maintenance of 30,898 square meters of interlock tiles, conducted 139,003 square meters of excavation and backfilling work, and maintained 88,950 square meters of sidewalks. Irrigation lines were serviced over a length of 26,079 meters, and 36,549 trees were trimmed to enhance the environmental landscape.
In the area of sanitation, the teams collected 134,776 tons of waste and removed 57,778 tons of various debris as part of their daily plans to improve public cleanliness. They also conducted 12,901 inspection tours for compliance and recorded 4,442 violations related to public health. Additionally, 4,549 pest control rounds were carried out to protect the environment and promote preventive health, while 13,682 reports received through the 940 Call Center were addressed.
These efforts are part of the Riyadh Municipality’s ongoing mission to promote sustainable urban development and improve the quality of life across the region’s cities and governorates, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, contributing to the creation of a fully integrated urban environment that reflects the capital’s growing prosperity and status.
