Riyadh Municipality participated in the World Cities Conference Metropolis 2025, held in Seoul, South Korea, from September 29 to October 1, 2025, marking the 40th anniversary of the founding of the World Association of Major Metropolises. The event brought together a distinguished group of city leaders, decision-makers, and experts from around the globe.
The Municipality was represented by Eng. Salman bin Abdulrahman Al-Dahmash, Deputy Mayor for Investment and Privatization, who took part in specialized sessions addressing topics such as comprehensive and sustainable development, smart governance, and urban innovation as part of the Municipality’s efforts to strengthen its international presence and exchange best practices with leading global cities.
The conference showcased four decades of cooperation among major cities and highlighted best practices in modern urban management. It also included field visits, as well as technological and cultural exhibitions, reflecting Seoul’s journey of urban advancement and its models in planning, administration, and sustainability.
Riyadh Municipality’s participation reflects its commitment to enhancing international partnerships and adopting global best practices in sustainable urban development, in line with its vision to be a pioneering municipality of a thriving city that advances the quality of life, and supports the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
